TheLovely Bones by: Alice Sebold pg. 200- end of the book 328

Summary
I can not believe that Susie's mom will leave her family and just go a separate way. In the book Susie's mom started having feeling for an officer and then she decides to leave her husband and children behind and go on with her own life. The parents did not get a divorce it's like they are having a break. Next thing you know a few weeks later Buckley went downstairs and got some of Susie's old clothes that the grandmother packed away because now the grandmother is living with her daughters husband (Susie's family) Anyways Buckley got some of Susie's old clothes and wanted to use it for an idea he had in mind about his garden and when the father saw what his son was doing he panicked. Buckley interestingly told  his father to let go of the fact that Susie is dead. I found this very shocking after there little talk. The father had a heart attack. After he was in the hospital the grandmother contacted his wife which is her daughter to tell her what happened to her husband and next thing you know the wife is flying all the way back to see her husband. They ended up feeling the way they first felt towards each other when they first met. Lindsey is engaged to Samuel they both finished college together and they still like each other Samuel is close to Lindsey's family. Mr.Harvey still has not been caught and still is killing girls. There was one point in the book where Ruth and Susie switched places with Ruth.  And Susie ended up with being with Ray the guy she liked when she was alive and he liked her also. Ray realized that he wasn't with Ruth anymore that Ruth and Susie some how ended up switching spots. It still remains a mystery of how that happened. I liked the book but I did not like the ending to be honest. I expected something more better then just everyone lived happily ever after. The killer did not get cuaght and Susie's family is back together.

Reaction
The police realized that Mr. Harvey is the one who killed Susie but by the time the police realized that it is him he already left and they can't seem to trace him. But the thing that I want to know is why Mr. Harvey leave another girl that he killed bracelet behind ? Like he gets away
with a lot of things he dose like get away with the girls he killed. That means his strategies are also good. Why would he leave Susie's bracelet behind like that makes the police now have a lead. It seems like  something is fishy. Does he want to be caught?

The Lovely Bones pgs. 100-200

Summary
I feel so bad for Susie's dad because he knows that something is suspicious about Mr.Harvey. It is so fustrating to know that you know your daughters killer but you have no evidence that he killed your daughter. He meaning Susie's dad has been calling the police a lot and it got to the point where one of the dectectives had to tell him to stop calling. To me that wolud get me mad like that's my kid who died and I want to find her killer. I am going to do everything I can to help you guys and you tell me to stop calling. Does the police actually think he is going to sit there and just wait. Thing is since this book id full of surprises Susie's dad ends up seeing this light and thinks it's Mr. Harvey and takes action. But bad thing is it was not Mr. Harvey it was two teenagers playing a game. Then later on in the book Lindesy snuck into Mr. Harvey's house and got a drawing from a sketchbook. That drawing is a drawing of where Mr.harvey killed Susie. And the police angain noticed something suspicious about Mr.Harvey like the way he was "happy" to go with the police and answer some questions. People usually get nervoius or start getting scared. There was another part in the book where Susie is describing all the other girls that Mr. Harvey  killed and how he killed them. There was one girl that he tried to touch but she screamed instead and he just panicked and killed her. That remined me of the book Of Mice and Men when one of the charters tried to touch a womens dress but she ended up screaming so he killed her insted.

Qoute
"Why they didn't hear something, see something. I mean surely the girl screamed." (Seblod 193)

Reaction
That is the worst thin that you can say to the police at the moment. When he said this I was in shock I was like oh o he did not just say that. Even the word surely means of course she would scream in that sentnce. It seems very starnge in a way to say that to the police. I want to see this guy get busted so bad. Because he killed a lot of girls that were younger or even older than him. And in heaven Susie meets other girls that got killed by him.

The Lovely Bones By: Alice Sebold pg. 1-100

Summary
This book gets your attention from the second second. It just grabs your attention in a flash. It's about a girl who got killed by one of her neighbors. She was walking in a corn field some day and Mr. Harvey say her and ending up tricking Susie( the girl that died) into following him and end up being in a room alone with him. He raped her and cut up her body into pieces. So now she is in heaven looking down at her family. Her sister Lindsey, her brother Buckley, and her mom and dad. In the book there was one part where the cops had no clue who was her killer , they did not have any leads. But one day a dog was running to his or her owner and has caring Susie's ARM!!!!! Can you imagine that you see your dog running to you and in his or her mouth you see a human being's arm. I do think Lindsey is making the wrong choices about her sisters death. Like why would you tell your parents to leave you alone all the time and give them attitude and tell them you want to handle all of these things going on by yourself. If I had a chance to talk to Lindsey I would say everyone is in the same boat. So stop acting like your sisters death is mainly hurting you it is hurting everyone the same way. Try to act a little happy around your parents or do something that will get their mind off of  the situation.

" My name was Salmon, like the fish; first name Susie. I was Fourteen when I was murdered on December6, 1973." (Sebold 5)

Reaction
When i first read this thought the first sentence was a typical introduction But when it started talking about being murdered. I was like what. That's what I mean in the beginning when I said the book grabs your attention fast. Because that sentence was like a bomb thrown at you. It just came out of the blue. But I like it, it makes it seem like the book has more surprises to come. And more surprises did actually happen.
